Ahh please help me before I shoot myself. I have an XS650 that is stripped down to the most basics and my first and second attempts at wiring it have failed and at this point I'm just afraid of messing with it anymore. Please help me before I set it on fire. I have a simple wiring diagram to work off of. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Jim (9) 571-2113

is this a stock wiring diagram or a modified one?
I might be available sometime next week, test hell this week. a few other of us might be able to help as well if they have time. Might want to describe what parts aren't working or does the bike not currently run at all? If that's the case you might want to describe what you've tried thus far and what you have/have no tested (including wires, regulators, rectifier, etc ) _________________ Cody '10 MEEN 2003 GSX-R 600 Got root? Well right now man all that's left is wiring! It's a Heavily Modified wiring diagram. God blessed me with many talents... One of them was not wiring or electrical engineering spewing forth.. lol Although I am glad to say that I got the report back from the ignitions that I thought I fried. I had not! So that is reassuring. Although I think my dellortos went haywire on me so that's the next step to figuring out, but I have a back up set of carbs that I have on there right now. Now it's just getting the lighting and charging system up and running. I was actually referred to Phil's shop by Bill Allen.
I gave him a call today, but he was out of the shop. I really want to finish this bike up so I can A.) ride and B.) clean my kitchen to it's original/regular spotless beauty. (I don't have a garage). My info is in the contact info so if you wanna help let me know. I'm going to Dallas and then St. Louis this weekend I believe so it may have to be next week. We'll see. Here's the diagram. ![]() |

I also have a Harley that I picked up after it sat for 5-6 years. It has an EVO with 4 valve heads and dual carbs..... Very unusual.
Looking forward to finishing up this XS project so that I can start in on the Harley. I just can't seem to figure out the damned wiring. Maybe I'll give in and just put a damned battery in the mix. I already have to weld a new kickstand into the mix. Also anyone got a good source around here for tires? Also I need to re-lace my wheels and I'm afraid I'm going to do it wrong? Any suggestions? |

Yeah I keep calling and leaving messages, but I have only gotten one call back from him. I was actually referred to him from Bill Allen as well.

Yeah I got a hold of him Friday at like 4.50 and he told me that he wasn't going to be around Monday, but to bring it by Tuesday. So that's what I'm going to do.
